To celebrate the release of the film, we created a comic book (with the help of Dynamite Entertainment), and gave it away for free at Comic-Con.  Didn't get to pick one up?  No problem.  It's now available in digital form, from Comixology.  You just need to setup an account, and then click here.  It's a free download, and you can read it right inside your web browser.  If you have an iPhone, iPad, Android device, or Kindle Fire, you can download the Comixology app and read it that way.  Enjoy!

To celebrate the DVD release, we're going to be doing two contests; one on Facebook, and the other on Twitter. The winners will each receive a free copy of the DVD!

Facebook: make our Facebook Cover Photo YOUR Cover Photo, and then make a posting on your wall where you “tag” the Midnight Son fan page. (You’ll need to keep the Cover Photo up until Sunday, July 21.) For everyone who does this, we’ll throw your name in a hat, and on Sunday night we’ll draw three names at random. We’ll contact the winners via private message to get your mailing address.

Now Available on DVD & Digital Download!

Yes, the glorious day has finally arrived.  The film is now available on DVD & Digital Download in the U.S. & Canada!

You should be able to find the DVD in Walmart stores across the U.S., as well on websites such as Amazon.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, and Frys.com.  Those of you in Canada can find it on Amazon.ca.

If you’re interested in a Digital Download of the film, you can find it on iTunes, Vudu, Amazon Instant Video, CinemaNow, Playstation Store, Xbox Marketplace, and YouTube.

IFC speaks to Producer Matt Compton regarding piracy

IFC.com wrote an article regarding Producer Matt Compton's outreach to those on The Pirate Bay who are downloading Midnight Son without paying for it.  Click here to read it.

To anyone out there who downloaded the film but didn't pay for it: We'd like to ask that you please consider donating a little money to us via PayPal.  You can do that via this email address: midnightsonmovie@yahoo.com.  Even if it's a very small amount, anything would be appreciated. You can also consider purchasing a copy on DVD or as a digital download.  iTunes has the film available for pre-order, and Vudu will carry it starting July 17.

The film was made by people who love making films, and was financed by ourselves, family and friends.  It was made on a very small budget, and our main goal is simply to make back the money we spent on it.  It would be great to make a little bit of profit, but that's secondary to just breaking even.  Unfortunately, it's become very difficult for independent filmmakers to make their money back these days.
